The holiday season is fast approaching and with it comes limited edition drops that will help to get anyone into the spirit of the holidays. One very unique release comes to us from McCormick. Over the last few years, McCormick has been giving home bakers a chance to elevate their sweet treats with the help of their line of finishing sugars. And for the 2026 holiday season, not only are we getting three returning flavors, but there are three new ones to fall in love with.
We were excited to see that they were bringing back the English Toffee finishing sugar, as this is by far our favorite of the flavors that they released previously. Of course, the other two flavors they are bringing back — Candy Cane and Pumpkin Spice — are also amazing for adding that finishing touch to any treat.
Then we learned about the new flavors for 2026 and we are now even more excited to add new finishing sugars to our holiday baking. That’s because the three new flavors are Sugar Cookie, Cranberry, and Dulce de Leche!
According to the press email we received about these sugars, the flavors are as follows:
“Sugar Cookie: A nostalgic blend of buttery vanilla sweetness, perfect for toast, coffee, fruit, and whipped cream.
Cranberry: Bright and tangy cranberry flavor that adds a festive pop to teas, cocktails, baked goods, and breakfast favorites.
Dulce de Leche: An irresistibly creamy blend with rich, buttery caramel sweetness, perfect for coffee, ice cream, French toast and cookies.”
These finishing sugars will be $3.99 in stores and we can expect to find them at a wide range of retailers, including Albertson and Walmart. Considering we found ours at a local grocery store in Massachusetts, we feel like these will be relatively easy to find if you are a fan of McCormick spices and seasonings.
We can’t wait to try these new flavors and even the returning finishing sugars, as we want to see if the flavors live up to our memories. It’s time to get into the kitchen and break out the baking pans.
But we want to know what you think. Are you excited for the new flavors? Which flavor are you most excited to work with? Which flavor of returning finishing sugar are you the most excited to have back? Let us know in the comments below!
