What doesn’t kill you makes you want Raising Cane’s. Wait, that’s not the lyrics for “Six Months Later” goes by Megan Moroney but in Athens, Georgia, that’s how it felt like.

To celebrate the exciting announcement of her upcoming album, Cloud 9, Moroney teamed up with Todd Graves for a special pop-up and returned to her roots in Athens, Georgia. Cane’s made sure to make Megan feel right at home, too.

The restaurant was completely decked out in pink. From pink accents all over to the trademark Cane’s hats turned pink, it felt like walking into Cloud 9 in the best way. Coupled with Megan and Todd both in pink, it was truly a sight to behold.

That’s not all, though as Megan worked a “shift” at Raising Cane’s which she used to frequent as a college student. The press release from Cane’s described it best, “Moroney worked the Drive-Thru and front counter; shot scripted content with Graves; signed autographs and swag including album covers and guitars; took selfies with fans; pumped Cane’s Sauce and made Chicken Fingers and Cane’s toast under the guidance of Graves himself.” It was truly a sight to behold and Moroney was just as authentic as she appears on stage.

Before starting her shift, Moroney talked to the media and answered some questions about her new album, writing process and much more. The biggest takeway from that was how she talked about Cloud 9. It’s clear Cloud 9 is a much different project for Moroney and reflects where she is in her life and in her career. She emphasized how the album felt softer which is something a lot of fans have been wanting.

Given all the excitement around the album, fans lined up to be able to catch a glimpse of Megan or to be able to be the first 100 people in line. The first 100 people in line got signed posters and a pink hat. It was truly a sight to behold to see how passionate and excited Megan’s fans were to see her.

The event seemed to be a rousing success for both Moroney and Cane’s. Not only is Moroney get to meet fans but she was able to promote her album and share some hype for it. As for Cane’s, no one can deny a good 3-finger combo which is Moroney’s go-to order. Overall, it was incredible to see Megan Moroney and even, better to see her teaming up with a brand we love at The Tasty Screen, Raising Cane’s.
