It’s mid-August, which means pumpkin spice season is right around the corner. Goodness, it’s already starting at some places. I’ve seen Halloween candy at the grocery store. But generally, it doesn’t usually start until the end of August or the beginning of September. That is…unless you’re are Krispy Kreme.
The donut giant put their Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed® donut out starting Monday, August 11, 2025. But the catch is: it will only be around for a week. That means that once August 18 hits, it will be gone.
The donut is what you might expect. it’s the classic glazed but with a touch of pumpkin spice.
But what is the meaning of this, Krispy Kreme? How are you getting rid of a pumpkin spice donut even before the start of the season?
Krispy Kreme is start pumpkin spice season early
I have a feeling this might just be a marketing ploy and the donut will be back on their menu soon. But we will just have to wait and see. Last year, it only stuck around for three days.

But what are the other additions to the menu? What would a donut be without a hot drink? Krispy Kreme is also adding their Pumpkin Spice Latte and Pumpkin Spice Coffee (although, they can be served hot or cold). Both contain a sprinking of pumpkin spice.
On top of the drinks, you will also be able to get the Original Glazed® Pumpkin Spice Cake donut throughout the fall season.
The donut includes the classic Krispy Kreme cake donut and pumpkin spice flavor. And of course it’s glazed with that delicious icing.
