The Fourth of July has arrived and with it comes a lot of questions, including where to go and what to eat. With July 4 being a national holiday, you might be curious about what is open and closed in terms of restaurants and stores.

We decided to do some digging on where we could go for food on the Fourth of July. Luckily for us, it seems that many restaurants and stores are staying open for the holiday, and they are even offering special deals to get people in.

Krispy Kreme will be open for Independence Day, and if you wear red, white, and blue walking in the door, you will get yourself an original glazed doughnut for free. As with any holiday, we do recommend checking your local store for their holiday hours, as they may be different from their normal weekday schedule.

Applebee’s is set to be open on the Fourth of July and they are even bringing the deals with an offer on their appetizers. According to the press email we received,”Applebee’s is offering appetizers for half-price for late-night diners.” This is exciting news for anybody watching fireworks on Friday night who are also feeling a little peckish flyer the show.

McDonald’s is a quick and easy choice for people looking for both sweet and savory options. You may want to head on over to your local McDonald’s to snag a Hershey’s S’mores McFlurry or even the Blueberry and Creme pie that recently hit the menu.

Smashburger is a great stop on the Fourth of July as they will be doing their shake happy hour from 2 PM to 5 PM. If you order online for pick up, use the code SHAKES25 to save on those milkshakes. And yes, you can also mention this offer when you go to the restaurant and dine in.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Other places that will be open for you to enjoy on the Fourth of July include:

Starbucks
Wendy’s
Friendly’s
Buffalo Wild Wings
Sonic Drive-In
Arby’s
Baskin-Robbins
Dunkin’
Dog Haus
Golden Corral
The Greene Turtle
City BBQ
Sullivan’s Steakhouse
Del Taco
Krystal

Clearly, there are plenty of places to choose from if you’re looking to skip the cooking and grilling this Fourth of July. And no matter what you may be in the mood for, with so many options to choose from, you can find what you might be looking for this July 4.
