For the last year, it seems that Dubai Chocolate has been taking social media by storm. This treat which combines chocolate, pistachio, and knafeh is meant to be both decadent and delicious. And while there are a number of brands that are trying to give us their take on this viral treat, one brand that has made it accessible to many is actually Bouchard.
Bouchard is known for their dark chocolate. In fact, they’re considered the experts in dark chocolate. However, they offer a wide range of high quality chocolate treats in both milk and dark chocolates, including caramel sea salt and strawberry thins. And when it comes to the Dubai chocolate, the brand has stuck to a classic milk chocolate over a pistachio cream with the shredded knafeh.
I found the Bouchard Dubai Chocolate at a Costco Warehouse near me in Massachusetts recently. And as soon as I saw those stacks of chocolate boxes, I knew I had to try them. I will point out that it’s a large box of chocolates for $18.99, with 41 pieces of chocolate in the box. And that’s a steal of a deal when you think of the fact that over on the brand website, that same box of chocolate is $35.99!
Bouchard understands quality and it’s clear with their Dubai Chocolate that they also understand flavor!
Right away, I have to point out that this was my first experience, actually trying Dubai Chocolate. It has not been readily available in my area. And trying to hunt down this particular treat has been difficult. So as soon as boxes of the Bouchard Dubai chocolate hit stores, I snagged a box. And I am so glad that I did.
This chocolatey treat was creamy and flavorful with just the right crispness from the knafeh. The chocolate itself was creamy and smooth, and didn’t have the standard bitterness that you can get from a darker chocolate, which was nice because it paired perfectly with the pistachio cream in the center. Honestly, this box did not last long in my home. Between myself and my father, I am shocked that it actually lasted a solid week.
After trying the Dubai Chocolate from Bouchard, not only will I be hunting down another box of these chocolates at Costco, but I will happily try other versions of the Dubai Chocolate as well.
