When Bloom announced that they were releasing a limited edition flavor for Valentine’s Day, we were pretty excited. One of the reasons for the excitement was the actual flavor of this particular sparkling energy drink, which is a Strawberry Rose. This is meant to be a perfect combination of flavors inspired by the day of love. And while the can itself doesn’t give any love to the rose in the flavor, there is no denying that the can itself is adorable as a love letter to the holiday.

But the important thing about any food or beverage is how it tastes. And in the case of the Strawberry Rose, there was a lot to love.

I have to say right away is that if you enjoy the flavor of strawberries, then this is definitely worth trying for yourself. While I normally don’t love floral flavors, I found the rose flavor to be very subtle. Yes, there were floral notes to this energy drink, but not to the detriment of the sipping experience. I actually found this to be a rather refreshing strawberry drink that had the undertones of the rose. It was a bit like adding in the green leaves you never really eat on a strawberry into the mix. It wasn’t a bad experience, it just felt like it was there to tone down the berry flavor.

The Strawberry Rose from Bloom is the kind of flavor that I can see the brand releasing again in the future and maybe even bringing back as a fan favorite down the road. This is the kind of flavor I would reach for if I saw in on store shelves in the future. And it is definitely a flavor I recommend for the berry lovers out there, who also enjoy energy drinks.
