Monopoly has come out with a lot of different themed games over the years. With everything from Pokémon to Wicked to Bob Ross and Elf, if there is a fandom you like or a show or movie you enjoy, chances are there is a Monopoly game that goes with it. But their latest collab coming out from The OP Games might surprise you.

It’s…The Today Show. Yep, you read that right. The combination news show and daytime talk show is now getting its own version of the ever-popular capitalism game.

Today Show fans can now buy, sell, and trade iconic parts of the Today Show set, including the TODAY Plaza, Studio 1A, and the Anchor Desk. And Community Chest and Chance Cards are now replaced with “Breaking News” and “Commercial Break” cards. And instead of losing all your money, you’ll either become a new anchor legend or crash and burn behind the news desk.

The game pieces you choose to play with are also completely different from the original game and include Coffee Mug, Sunrise, Microphone, Camera, Umbrella, and Clapboard

Based on the pictures and the information released about the game, it doesn’t look like any of the popular anchors and hosts are involved or included in the game, but there is only one way to find out. Grab the game for yourself and bring it to your neck of the woods.

Being a fan of The Today Show would seem weird to me, except my own dad has a Today Show mug and loves Al Roker, so I’m sure this new Monopoly game is for someone. It’s currently available on Amazon, and you can find out more about it on The OP Games site.
