There are so many fun traditions when it comes to the holiday season, and one of the biggest is building a gingerbread house. Given all the different types out on the market, it can be hard to decide.
However, if you’re looking for something different, then why not go with King’s Hawaiian? The brand launched its King’s Hawaiian x Bing Crosby “Mele Kalikimaka” Gingerbread House Kit on November 19th. Unsurprisingly, it sold out very quick.
You can head to KH’s website to get an in-stock alert when it comes back in stock. Priced at $19.50, you get 4 packages of the King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet 12-packs, icing, some island accessories to make it even more tropical, and some wooden skewers. Lastly, you get a mini record which has a QR code to play “Mele Kalikimaka.” If you are able to snag one, KH shared that the kits are set to ship on December 15th, 2025.

For those who weren’t or aren’t able to get one, King’s Hawaiian has you covered. The brand shared a guide to be able to DIY one of these without the kit. You can find the full instructions via this website, and it seems like such a fun process. Aside from the plastic bag the rolls are featured in, you use the rolls and the cardboard they come in to create your gingerbread house.
As someone who hasn’t been a huge fan of making gingerbread houses in the past, this one seems more my style. Plus, it’s the perfect thing to share this holiday season. Honestly, I feel like more people will be munching on this than the normal gingerbread house. Either way, you’ll have fun putting it together and, of course, eating it.
