On July 31, Hasbro announced that they were partnering with author Rebecca Yarros to help bring the world of Fourth Wing to life in a brand new way. And that is by releasing a series of world-building games that fans of the books will fall in love with.

While the plan is to release more than one game, Hasbro is kicking things off with a card game called Priorities Fourth Wing. Currently available for preorder through retailers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble, this game officially releases on October 1. On Amazon, the description of the game states, “Find out how well you know your Iron Squad in the officially licensed Priorities Fourth Wing Edition! A party game of epic choices that will have you questioning their priorities—and your own.”

But what exactly is the game Priorities? In terms of the world of Fourth Wing, Hasbro explains how to play the game as follows:

“In this game of epic choices, one player—the Wingleader—draws 5 cards featuring favorites from the first 3 Empyrean books: Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm. They secretly rank the cards from love to loathe. Everyone else—the Iron Squad—works together to guess the Wingleader’s order. It’s everyone versus the game! Earn a card for every correctly guessed rank, and the game earns the rest. To win, spell PRIORITIES using the letters on the backs of your earned cards before the game does.”

For fans of the book, this will be a great way to show off your Fourth Wing knowledge and at the same time, showcase your own strategy skills as well. And even if you haven’t read the books yet, this could be a great gift for anyone you know who loves the series.

It’s exciting to know that this is just the first game that Hasbro will be releasing based on the world that Rebecca Yarros has created. That means that we should have more game night options in no time. And we might even have them in time to give as Christmas presents.
