Stay With Me is set to release on August 8, and features two military men finding their way to each other. Both of these men struggle to believe that they deserve good things. And yet, somehow they find something that’s worth fighting for.

As someone who has read Kris Jacen’s work in the past, I am extremely excited for this new release. It’s been a while since we’ve had a story from the author, but as long time fans, we already know that this is going to be a bit of a page turner.

So so what exactly can you expect from this particular book? Here’s the summary for Stay With Me from Amazon:

”Lieutenant Andrew Nolan grew up in the shadow of his brother, Tristan, or at least that’s what he thought. Never felt like he measured up to everything his brother or cousins did. Drew followed Tristan into the military, not really wanting to but believing it was expected of him. After all, he needed to live up to his grandfather’s legacy, since he was named after him.

Lieutenant Brody Walker doesn’t really know where he came from. Growing up in foster care hadn’t been the worst but it also hadn’t been the best. Knowing that your biological family deserted you and then having your foster parents ghost you didn’t encourage a feeling of belonging.”

This book definitely gives us those hurt/comfort vibes. And it also sounds like there will be some found family in this story. Both of these tropes are things we get excited over. Add in the fact that we have two men in uniform, and Stay With Me sounds like it’s going to be the perfect summer read.
