When it comes to delicious menu options, El Pollo Loco brings the flavor. And with two new menu items that are bringing the cheese and the heat, we know that summer is set to be a tasty experience when heading to the restaurant. After all, we can never say no to a loaded quesadilla!

The two new quesadillas on the El Pollo Loco menu are the Creamy Chipotle Quesadilla and the Salsa Verde Quesadilla. And to promote both of these quesadillas, El Pollo Loco has decided to team up with their first ever athlete partner, NBA star Dalton Knecht.

While it is certainly exciting to see Knecht working with El Pollo Loco for this launch, we are also here for the quesadillas themselves. So what exactly comes on these two new menu items?

For the Creamy Chipotle Quesadilla we are getting white meat chicken that is citrus-marinated and then grilled to perfection. From there we have the 100% Jack cheese, as well as the creamy chipotle sauce, all wrapped into a flour tortilla. It’s a flavor explosion in every bite, and one we are definitely here for.

Then we have our second new quesadilla, the Salsa Verde Quesadilla. With this menu item we are getting all the same essential items when it comes to the meat and cheese, but instead of the creamy chipotle sauce, it seems we are getting their signature avocado salsa to bring the flavor and the kick.

For both of these quesadillas, there will also be a side of guacamole for dipping, which we love to see (and eat).

As always, it is important to note that prices will vary for these items based on where you are located and what you get specifically. This means that a combo meal will be around $9.99 for both of these quesadillas, while the a la carte option will come in around $7.49.
