Are you looking for something new to watch this July? Then BritBox is the place to be, especially for people who love high stakes and plenty of drama in their viewing. And the latest program heading to the service is actually one that will give you plenty of intrigue and excitement, as a deaf canteen workers finds herself drawn into a police investigation.

Code of Silence sees Alison being asked by the police to use her lip reading skills to help with a high-profile investigation. She quickly finds herself at the heart of the investigation as her skills lead to her interpreting the conversations that the police need to try to take down a criminal gang. However, even as she becomes integral to the police case things become complicated as she finds herself drawn to one of the suspects they are following.

With scenes that look gritty and dark, there is a lot on the line for Alison and the police. This drama gives us plenty of interesting moments, but really delivers on authenticity, in particular when addressing the ASL aspect of the story.

If you were planning to give Code of Silence a chance, it is set to premiere on BritBox as of July 24. There will be a two episode premiere and then it will air every week until the finale on August 21. Another thing to know about this series is the fact that it will be available to stream in ASL.

With just six episodes in this series, it seems like this story is going to be full throttle as we dive into this criminal world. And we can’t wait to see what happens as Alison finds herself drawn into this investigation and the life of one of the people she is supposed to be informing the police on.
