According to a press email I received on behalf of Old El Paso, it seems that Urban is helping the brand to cast their latest “cowboy.” It seems that “Castin’ the Cowboy” is a series that will see Keith Urban judging 10 musicians vying for the chance to be the star of Old El Paso’s next taco night experience.

With fake guitars, songs about tacos and a lot of fun to be had, these musicians are doing whatever they can to be the next Old El Paso taco night star. And it is up to Urban to pick the person who will best represent the brand and of course, tacos.

Considering Keith Urban knows how to put on a show and give fans what they want, it makes sense to have him step into this role. At the same time, he has already proven that he knows how to be a fair and honest judge thanks to his time on The Voice Australia and even on American Idol. So having Old El Paso and Urban team up in this way makes perfect sense.

But guess what? It is not just about finding the next “cowboy” as it looks like fans of Old El Paso are set to get their hands on some goodies of their own. So how does that happen?

“Taco lovers are encouraged to follow along and cheer for their favorite contenders as the series runs, and a lucky few that guess the correct cowboy winner will have the chance to get their hands on Old El Paso cowboy belt buckles signed by Keith, along with other taco-themed surprises including Old El Paso taco kits.”
