Netflix may be known as the streaming giant. And it very well deserves this title. It features an endless selection of movies and shows across all genres. Other streamers can’t compare when it comes to quantity, but what if you’re craving quality?
There’s a whole world of content beyond Netflix. So if you want to expand your streaming horizons, you’ve come to the right place! With the help of Reelgood, we’ve put together a list of the top shows on streaming that are not on Netflix.
1) The Gorge on Apple TV+
The Gorge is a sci-fi ride that blends action and romance. It stars Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy as two elite snipers tasked with keeping mysterious creatures from escaping the gorge. Communication is not allowed, but they break the rules, forming an unexpected bond that tests their loyalty.
2) Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy on Peacock
Bridget Jones is back! If you’re a fan, you won’t want to miss this charming and heartfelt sequel. Now in her 50s, she’s navigating single parenthood and the ups and downs of love—this time with a surprising twist: a romance with a younger man.
3) Longlegs on Hulu
Listen, this movie is not for everyone. But if you’re a horror fan, you won’t want to miss Longlegs. If you skipped it in theaters, now’s your chance to stream this eerie nightmare from the comfort of your own home. A chilling psychological thriller, it will stay with you long after the credits roll.
4) The Substance on MUBI
Another thriller, and one of my personal favorites, is The Substance. The story follows an aging actress (Demi Moore) turn to an experimental drug that creates a younger, more glamorous version of herself (Margaret Qualley). But as the two versions battle for control, the price of beauty and fame spirals into a horror.
5) You’re Cordially Invited on Prime Video
There’s more than horror on this list. After watching Longlegs, fill the room with laughs and watch You’re Cordially Invited on Prime Video. The wedding comedy stars Will Ferrell as Jim, a devoted dad who books the same wedding venue — and on the same weekend– as Margot (Reese Witherspoon), who is determined on giving her sister the wedding of her dreams.
6) Flow on Max
Over on Max, you’ll find Flow, a binge-worthy drama that follows a cat whose home is destroyed in a flood. The cat teams up with other animal survivors to journey through with in this new world.
7) Conclave on Peacock
If you love mystery and high-stakes dramas, Conclave on Peacock is the one to watch. The series takes place after the sudden death of the Pope, prompting the College of Cardinals to convene in a secluded Vatican enclave to elect his successor. But during this process, hidden agendas and personal ambitions surface.
8) The Wild Robot on Peacock
I made the mistake of missing The Wild Robot on the big screen, so I watched it as soon as it landed on Peacock — and made a family movie night out of it. The heartwarming story follows a service robot name Roz (voiced by Lupita Nyong’o) who finds itself stranded. To go home, Roz needs to fulfill her duty of assisting one of the wildlife creatures on the island.
Now, get to it! You’ve got plenty to watch.
